Casa Jasmina

The XI Share Festival, in exploring the theme of the Internet of Things, has expanded its reach beyond its customary artistic scene to involve the local socio-economic fabric. The intention behind this year’s theme is to spark the interest of designers and businesses in the new possibilities offered by the Internet and new technologies.

With the support of the Torino Chamber of Commerce and in collaboration with the Foundation for Architecture/Torino, CNA and Confartigianato, this year’s Share Festival – “House Guests” is featuring a special programme of encounters and workshops entitled “do.IT IOT internet of things”.

The issues to be explored will revolve around the real, practical needs of Casa Jasmina, a pilot OPEN-SOURCE design and architecture project hosted alongside the Share Festival, a place designed to inspire the concrete application of the innovative concepts the festival is exploring. These new open-source and share culture concepts tied to daily, creative and home life will be broadly explored and disseminated through the programme of events.

With each encounter featuring TUTORS and EXPERTS of international renown, the aim is to divulge, demonstrate and produce, in open-source format, projects, objects and finishings that build on sophisticated know-how and the most innovative network tools and 3D experimental techniques so as to complete the innovative and captivating Casa Jasmina, and then subsequently be manufactured for sale on web-based platforms.

At the same time, the encounters are designed to build a new innovation platform for businesses and professionals, who by taking part and exploring new business opportunities can learn and assess NEW BUSINESS MODELS tied to the future of the Internet and e-commerce.
