Art Futura 2013

ArtFutura arrives with its twenty-fourth edition starting the 1st of November and with activities in more than 14 cities, among them Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Lima, Liverpool, Sao Paulo, Rotterdam, Santiago de Chile and Torino.
This year, Artfutura , as Share Festival, explores the future of the Web in a time when the distinction between real and virtual is declining as we increasingly interact more and more with our digital networks. There is no longer a ‘cyberspace’, separate from the real world: The world we live penetrates, nourishes and defines the Web as a reflection of our everyday lives and our fantasies, what we do have and what we wish.
Feeding the Web, the title of ArtFutura 2013, expresses that we feed ourselves in a relationship of mutual interdependence.

As every year, Art Futura 2013 will analyze the current state of digital creativity presenting the latest in new media, 3D animations, virals, videoclips and everything related to the new aesthetics.
At Share Festival 2013 Art Futura presents three programs 3d Futura Show, Artworks and The Creators Project.

Every year, the 3DFutura Show includes the most outstanding and newly produced computer graphics. From the most spectacular works produced by the large studios to the small wonders created by independent artists from all around the world.
The edition 2013 features extraordinary works like  “The Vein Magma (Dvein), “The Butterfly Effect” (Dan Sumich), “5m 80” (Nicolas Devaux), “Reverso” (Kimberly Honma, Clément Lauricella, Arthur Seguin), Lux Aeterna (Cristóbal Vila),  The Turret Anthem (Zachariah Scott) and others.

The Creators Project celebrates visionary artists across multiple disciplines who are using technology in innovative ways to push the boundaries of creative expression. The project howcases more than 500 artists from all around the world.
In 2013, The Creators Project solidified its position as an unparalleled online arts channel with a slate of original documentaries that offered a look inside the minds of some of today’s most innovative artists in music, film, art and design, fashion and gaming – and introduced artists whose works are inspired and enabled by new technologies.
With segments on the works of Matt Pyke (Universal Everything), Andrew Huang, Nosaj Thing, Kinetica Art Fair and others.

With the emergence of new recording and editing equipment, each time more sophisticated, we have seen the emergence of new ways of documenting the artworks and, in some cases, to go beyond and overcome the experience of physical contemplation.
Do we lose the mystique of the original work? In the Digital Age maybe we should talk more about unique experiences.
ArtFutura begins a new section dedicated to these new audiovisuals: Artworks. With works by artists such as Zaha Hadid, Vincent Morisset and Paul Friedlander.
