Optofonica is a project initiated by multimedia artist and producer TeZ in 2006 and conducted in collaboration with the OPTOFONICA foundation of Amsterdam (NL) whose members have been widely involved in the research, production and proliferation of “immersive environments” for installations and performances.
At Share Festival Optofonica presents a wide range of his creativity. There will be the OSC (Optofonica Surround Cinema), the show by Evelina Domnitch + Dmitry Gelfand with soap balls and laser, two immersive sound performance and a experimental audiovisual performance that aims to produce visual pattern into the brain.
OSC (Optofonica Surround Cinema) is a “formula” for high quality screenings of the audiovisual works produced for the Optofonica project by over 30 international artists.
Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand presents their well known show Ten Thousand Peacock Feathers in Foaming Acid: a audiovisual show realized with fsoap film and laser.
Maurits Fennis e Maurizio Martinucci (a.k.a TeZ) presents ADODBRS 2.0 and FanTones: Maurits Fennis and Maurizio Martinucci (a.k.a TeZ) will present unconventional means of performing sound spatialization that completely envelopes the spectator in an immersive sound field. Based on the natural resonant modes of the performance space, standing waves will generate large bodies of dense sound volumes that the performers are able to control in mid-air.
PV868 is an experimental creation and performance by Maurizio Martinucci (a.k.a TeZ) aimed at producing an audiovisual feed/stimulus which would allow a peculiar effect of moving visual patterns to emerge directly in the brain of the viewer/listener.
