WORKSHOPS

Internet of the women things

25th May – 28th September

Casa Jasmina, Toolbox

For the XI Share Festival, the Foundation for Architecture/Torino and The Sharing association have come together to create a workshop over the upcoming months to explore new concepts in open-source and share culture and the Internet of Things (IOT as it is internationally known), with a special focus on daily, creative and home life. Targeted at and reserved to women designers, the objective of the workshop is to lay the groundwork for a new approach to design, learning, manufacturing and business. The issues to be addressed will revolve around the real, practical needs of Casa Jasmina, a pilot design project aimed at promoting the adoption of open-source design as a new concept for life, design and work, for the sharing of knowledge, ideas and things. The general aim of the project is to create the new home, tied to open-source design integrated with traditional Italian expertise in industrial and furniture design, combined with innovation in the electronics sector developed in Italy. The specific activities of the workshop will focus on the completion of the Casa Jasmina terrace and a hammam area.
