The conference will be held on occasion of the exhibition Piero Gilardi. Effetti collaborative 1963 – 1985, the concluding event of The Living Boxes project by Andrea Bellini.

The conference will open with a dialogue between art critic Francesco Poli and Piero Gilardi, considered a forerunner of relational art and a pioneer in the interweaving of art and biotechnology. Ends of philosophy; Milan: Garzanti; 2012). He will be followed by Massimo Melotti, head of the New Media Project at the Castello di Rivoli, who will explore the relationship between creative processes and society.
